We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing House Supervisor - Clinical Operations Lead to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical expertise to oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the clinical operations of the nursing department, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and reduce errors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Supervise and direct staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality care.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- 4 years of directly related experience in a nursing leadership role.
- Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire.
- PALS Certification within 6 months of hire.
- RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification within 6 months of hire.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The physical demands of this role include medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
