Job Summary

Richland Public Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Educator to join our team. As a Health Educator, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing evidence-based health education programs to promote healthy behaviors and improve health outcomes in Richland County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs to address the unique needs of diverse populations.
  • Develop and administer public health education and promotion strategies on various health topics, including chronic disease prevention, health promotion, and disease prevention.
  • Conduct presentations and training sessions on health topics to diverse audiences, including community groups, schools, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all programs and services available through Richland Public Health.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional materials to support health education programs and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Community/Public Health Education, Health Education, Health Promotion, Nursing, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Three years of public health-related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of core functions and essential services of public health.
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and vehicle insurance required.
