Portland, Oregon, United States Permanente Dental Associates Full time
Position Overview

The role of a Denturist involves delivering high-quality prosthetic devices that meet the aesthetic, phonetic, and technical standards expected by patients and the PDA Peer Review. You will be responsible for providing exceptional aesthetic care to members of the Kaiser Permanente Dental Care Plan (KPDCP) while adhering to the regulations set forth by the Oregon and Washington State Dental Boards, as well as KPDCP guidelines.

As a key clinical figure, you will exercise independent judgment in the clinical aspects of prosthetic care, collaborating closely with prosthodontists, dentists, DOMs, PDs, and other personnel to ensure the highest quality of care for our members. Your leadership will extend to mentoring and supervising clinical staff, providing both direct and indirect guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize high-speed lathes and dental handpieces proficiently.
  • Employ semi-adjustable and fully adaptable articulators effectively.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of oral geography, including mandibular movements and interarch relationships.
  • Guide laboratory evaluations and assessments of prosthetic appliance functionality.
  • Accurately take impressions that reflect appropriate freeway space and centric relationships.

Compensation and Benefits:

As a Denturist, you and your dependents will have access to a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and alternative care insurance options. Additional coverage includes AD&D, voluntary short-term and long-term disability insurance, and eligibility for the PDA 401(k) plan with a generous employer contribution.

Employees can accrue over 14 hours of paid time off (PTO) each month, which can be used for personal time, vacations, illnesses, holidays, and more. Furthermore, PDA Denturists enjoy up to four weeks of paid parental leave, an annual benefit reimbursement pool, a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, and access to an award-winning Wellness Program.
