Job Overview

Shriners Children's is a leading pediatric medical center that provides exceptional care to children and their families. We are seeking an experienced Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician II to join our team at our Portland facility.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices with precision and attention to detail, utilizing optimum time management and cost-saving techniques.
  • Independently demonstrate knowledge and technical skills to correctly fabricate orthotic/prosthetic devices, ensuring cosmetics, alignment, and appropriateness of trim lines.
  • Communicate effectively with practitioners regarding devices, providing guidance to technicians as needed, and serving as a resource for innovative design and fabrication.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in FabTracker and ensure devices are fabricated within deadlines.
  • Supervise and assist technicians as needed, prioritizing work for fabrication sequence and providing orthoses/prostheses in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Complete department-specific and facility-wide safety requirements, complying with safety programs and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of orthotics & prosthetics technician experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required; ABC Registered Technician Certification preferred
