About the Role

Civil and Environmental Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Field Technician or Construction Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing observations and testing during earthwork and building construction of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct earthwork inspections and field testing to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Perform concrete sampling and field testing to determine material properties.
  • Inspect bearing grade foundations to ensure structural integrity.
  • Conduct structural steel inspections to identify potential defects.
  • Inspect concrete masonry units and grout testing to ensure quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of field experience in construction projects, performing inspections and testing.
  • Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to write accurate and concise field reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET, ICC, and ACI certifications.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
