Job Title: Staff Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at System One. As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing geotechnical engineering, construction observation, and design assignments under the supervision of experienced engineering personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform geotechnical engineering, construction observation, and design assignments
  • Assist with processing field data, performing geotechnical analyses, report and drawing preparation
  • Assist in preparation of engineering proposals
  • Travel to project sites to oversee field investigations, construction QA/QC activities, audits, or other activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a U.S. college or university with an ABET-accredited civil/geotechnical engineering program
  • At least five (5) years of relevant engineering experience on CCR and/or mine waste disposal facilities, energy infrastructure, heavy civil site development, and/or major water resource projects
  • Active Engineer-In-Training (EIT) status
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced technical degree (e.g., MS or ME)
  • Experience planning and performing geotechnical investigations, including conventional SPT and CPT-based in-situ testing investigations
  • Proficiency with computerized modeling tools, including CAD and/or GIS
