Job Title: Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager to join our team at RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek. As a Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing geotechnical engineering services and overseeing project tasks, including profit and loss responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and execute field exploration and laboratory services, including classification of soils.
  • Execute geotechnical project assignments, including engineering analysis and customized geotechnical reports with detailed descriptions and statements.
  • Site reconnaissance to assess site conditions and identify potential problems at the site through coordinated field visits.
  • Ability to identify problematic soils such as fill material, alluvium, organics, and ability to call for additional investigation such as test pits and borings, as needed.
  • Understanding of rock, rock coring, and rock description.
  • Provide senior review of proposals and reports and ensure that commitments to clients are met.
  • Client relations and business development activities.
  • Responsible for the mentoring and training of staff technicians and engineers.
  • Actively participate in professional and technical organizations.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of geotechnical engineering experience required.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet the client's needs.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration highly preferred or the ability to obtain one within first year of employment.
  • EIT is required.
  • DOT experience required - the candidate should be familiar with GDOT processes, formats, specs, and guidelines including required analyses. The candidate should be familiar with GDOT WFI, BFI, PDA, and running of related software such as GRLWEAP, Slide, MSEWall, etc.
  • Experience working with gINT or similar software such as Open Ground.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Must speak and write English fluently.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required.
