Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with neurological disorders. You will work collaboratively with our medical team to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose patients with neurological disorders, including those related to the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with our medical team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, including explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care.
  • Work collaboratively with our medical team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in surgical procedures, including craniotomies, spinal procedures, and peripheral nerve cases.
  • Conduct hospital rounds, write orders, and progress notes as needed.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, including MRIs, Myelograms, and Cat Scans.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure with the Florida Board of Medical Examiners in good standing to practice as a Physician Associate.
  • Current state and federal DEA registration.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of a Physician Associate Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Willingness to assist in surgical procedures.
  • At least one year of orthopedic spine, neurosurgical clinical, or pain management experience.
