Our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes, and we are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technologist to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • Position and instruct patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and support devices as needed, utilizing proper safety and patient shielding precautions.
  • Scrub in and assist the Physician, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control policies.
  • Monitor patients for unusual reactions or events and respond accordingly, prioritizing their well-being and safety.
  • Perform basic patient care, including cleaning equipment and supplies after each examination, and preparing the surgical table and room for procedures.
  • Label all medications and fluids on the table as per policy, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Describe the procedure and cover the IV contrast consent form with the patient, obtaining informed consent and ensuring their understanding of the process.
  • Perform Time Out with the appropriate staff present as per policy, verifying patient identity and procedure details.
  • Operate all equipment associated with the performance of vascular procedures, maintaining a high level of proficiency and adhering to established protocols.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Surgical Technology training from a National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting approved school.
  • Successful fulfillment of all requirements for certification as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Ability to competently perform basic Vascular Lab reception duties, including scheduling and phone handling.
  • Knowledge of all devices and how to use them, including catheters and stents, used in vascular procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere, demonstrating courtesy and cooperation towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and management.
