Child Welfare Case Managers

Compensation:
$51,300 - entry-level salary
$53,460 - with certification in child welfare case management and one year of relevant experience
$55,620 - with certification in child welfare case management and three years of supervisory experience in the field.
Mission & Impact:
The role of the
Child Welfare Case Manager
is to deliver comprehensive case management services to LSF clients and their families, fostering relationships while embodying the agency's core values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accept all cases assigned by the unit supervisor and engage with children in their primary residences within two working days of staffing.
2. Collaborate with families to create a case plan that addresses their strengths and needs, based on assessments and relevant data.
3. Conduct regular visits to the child’s home, ensuring compliance with required frequency, including unannounced visits.
4. Maintain accurate documentation of all case activities in the Florida Safe Families Network database within 48 hours.
5. Develop and sustain knowledge of community resources, eligibility criteria, and key contacts to assist families effectively.
6. Prepare and submit necessary court documentation in a timely manner and participate in all court-related activities.
7. Conduct thorough safety assessments and develop safety plans as required.
8. Facilitate parental and sibling visits and provide transportation for children as needed.
9. Ensure all Independent Living tasks are completed as mandated.
10. Attend all required training sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- A valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to transport clients.
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field; Social Work preferred.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, with certification to be obtained within one year.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
