Position Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager for the night shift to oversee our operations at a key facility. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of maintenance activities within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the formulation and execution of the maintenance strategy; delegates tasks and methodologies.
  • Advises on maintenance and operational protocols for new constructions during the development phase.
  • Designs layouts for the installation of new machinery and modifications to existing setups.
  • Estimates requirements for equipment, materials, and labor while supervising repairs of various structural and mechanical issues.
  • Reviews and evaluates completed maintenance requests; aids in establishing operational policies and standards for maintenance and repairs.
  • Develops and maintains a proactive maintenance schedule utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Identifies recurring maintenance challenges and proposes effective solutions based on equipment performance data.
  • Ensures compliance with USDA regulations and quality control standards by guiding maintenance personnel on proper procedures and monitoring adherence.
Educational Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with layout design, project management, ergonomic principles, industrial engineering, CAD operations, and USDA standards.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

1. May require moving light equipment or supplies. 2. May involve accessing files and equipment. 3. In a plant setting, conditions may include wet floors and varying temperatures. Exposure to noise levels and chemicals typical in food processing environments is expected. Personal protective equipment must be utilized as directed.
