Position Overview

LaBella Associates is seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our Climate Resiliency Group. This role offers the chance to engage in impactful projects focused on climate adaptation, mitigation, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of conceptual and detailed engineering designs utilizing nature-based solutions. Undertake moderate design tasks and contribute to project documentation and cost estimates, including technical specifications and drawings.
  • Create technical drawings using computer-aided design software (AutoCAD and Civil 3D).
  • Develop and execute HEC-RAS inundation models for project areas as part of the engineering design process.
  • Conduct site assessments and participate in project meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary design teams, demonstrating a willingness to learn and tackle projects that may extend beyond current expertise.
  • Engage in proposal development and limited business development activities, including presentations at industry conferences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting.
  • Proven proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and HEC-RAS.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
  • Exceptional collaborative problem-solving skills with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $95,000, influenced by various factors including relevant experience, education, and work location.
