About the Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer - Product Development at Carrier, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand, document, and execute market deliverables for New Product Development and Product Sustaining programs. Your responsibilities will include supporting and resolving requirement conflicts among stakeholders and supplied product actual performance with program leaders, reviewing and approving requirements documentation versus actual product capabilities, and planning and executing qualification testing of sourced Ductless products.

You will have the opportunity to work on all parts of Ductless products, including condensing units, fan coils, controls, agency certification, and qualification. You will also work with the broader Carrier, overseas suppliers, and domestic production partner teams in the launch and compliance of North American regulatory and certification of Ductless Split systems and controls.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • OR Master's degree in engineering with 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with others on design teams to understand and translate design and process engineering requirements into product line design components, subsystems, and products
  • Ability to understand product/component function, reliability, and quality requirements
  • In-depth understanding of refrigeration systems and/or electrical system requirements
  • Familiarity with design and development of indoor and outdoor Ductless/VRF systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a globally diverse audience
