We are an award-winning heavy civil and site infrastructure company specializing in the installation of wet utilities, paving, etc. We are located in New Albany and are rapidly growing.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in the heavy civil construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring that all potential expenses are accounted for and that bids are competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects including highways, utilities, and earthwork.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to identify key cost factors and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and services.
  • Review and analyze bids from subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Monitor project costs and provide feedback for continuous improvement in estimating processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years experience
  • Familiarity with earthwork, grading, underground, piping, land development, civil construction, sewer, water, and wastewater
  • Experience with Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Excel, etc
  • Nice to have: AGTEK
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in heavy civil construction projects.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
