Position Overview:
As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Strategy will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success. This role involves developing and executing strategic initiatives that align with our business objectives, ensuring clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels. The Director of Strategy will collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO), finance leadership, and functional leads to drive business performance, support strategic projects across the organization, and effectively communicate progress.
We are seeking a high-character, high-capability individual who is humble, hardworking, and ready to contribute to the company's success. This role is designed as a launchpad for high-potential leaders, offering a pathway to move into the business and eventually lead a function or P&L. The individual in this role will be mentored by the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), providing unparalleled exposure to top-tier leadership and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development and implementation of the company's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
• Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver comprehensive board materials, including strategic updates and performance metrics, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders from the Board to individual practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the PMO and functional leaders to ensure strategic initiatives are effectively executed and aligned with the company's goals.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
• Strategic Projects: Lead and support key strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Structure Creation: Develop clear frameworks and processes in situations of uncertainty, bringing order and direction to complex or ambiguous challenges.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Education: MBA preferred, with a strong academic background in business, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-MBA experience in a top-tier consulting firm or in a strategic role within a corporate setting, preferably in healthcare or a related industry.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in preparing and presenting board-level materials. Ability to create structure and direction in ambiguous situations.
• Character & Work Ethic: High character and demonstrated capability and willingness to work hard, remain humble, and prioritize the company's success.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
