Structural Fabrication Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Interprets and evaluates blueprints and structural schematics.
- Implements appropriate welding techniques for the fabrication of structural components.
- Employs both manual and mechanical welding processes across various positions.
- Adjusts welding tools and machinery in accordance with specified welding procedures.
- Prepares and cleans metal surfaces using scrapers, chemical agents, and grinders to achieve a flawless finish.
- Fabricates, repairs, and assembles structural elements to create complete frameworks.
- Examines and assesses welds to confirm they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Performs post-welding tasks such as grinding, cleaning, and polishing of components.
- Participates in training sessions, workshops, and relevant educational programs as required by the department.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in the oilfield sector is preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Must possess a valid and current driver's license.
- Post-Offer Requirements:
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Familiarity with industrial structural welding techniques and practices.
- Proficient in the use of welding equipment including torches, electrode holders, drill presses, and welding electrodes.
- Understanding of hazardous materials and safety regulations pertinent to equipment operation.
- Experience in oilfield operations is preferred.
- Ability to conduct tests to identify and rectify structural faults.
- Strong ability to follow directives and communicate effectively.
