Job Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician is a critical role within our Mechanical Group, responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities to support facility operations. This position requires a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on scaffold and insulation applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and execute work in a timely manner to ensure efficient facility operations.
  • Communicate effectively with CPAI planners and operators to schedule daily work activities.
  • Assist in the field verification of piping and structural systems.
  • Read and understand ISO metric drawings and P&IDs/PDD.
  • Follow AES written policy and procedures, as well as safety regulations.
  • Participate in the respiratory protection program.
  • Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance activities on utility systems, buildings, piping, vessels, and equipment as required.
  • Inspect and repair mechanical problems as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
  • Fabricate, install, and remove components of mechanical insulation and sheet metal.
  • Fabricate and install blankets for valves and flanges.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.
