Structural Quality Assurance Specialist

The Structural Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the Project Quality Plan is developed and implemented in conjunction with the Project Execution Plan. This role will promote quality awareness throughout the organization, emphasizing excellence, continuous improvement, and corrective action to influence the overall success of the company business.
Duties:
Capture results of inspection/observations and report in a timely manner
Ensure suppliers/contractors have relevant, up to date codes, standards, specifications, and drawings
Interface with the discipline engineer, construction engineer, field workers, and inspectors in a professional manner
Witness and monitor suppliers/contractors work activities, inspection, and test in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP, Quality Procedures, Welding Procedures, etc.
Requirements:
Necessary to maintain quality relative to civil and structural requirements
Key Skills:
Trained & experienced in civil/structural procedures
Trained and experienced in surveying equipment
Competent in PC skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, & E-mail systems)
Knowledgeable in quality assurance
Effective oral & written skills
Effective mathematical skills
Candidate Qualifications:
Industry standard certifications preferred (CWI, API, etc.)
Familiar with AWS D1.1 code
Able to read and interpret construction drawings
Ability to use tape measure, voltmeter, welding gauge's
5+ years of Piping inspection experience required
Able to work and communicate in a team environment
