Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to deliver vital assistance to a disabled veteran within our community. The right candidate will provide support with daily tasks, personal hygiene, and emotional encouragement to improve the client's overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on support to individuals in a residential care or home environment.
- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with the client's dietary requirements and preferences.
- Utilize behavior management strategies as necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the client's living space.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving is required.
- Capability to safely lift and transfer clients.
- Experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality is essential.
- Proficient in assisting with ADLs and monitoring vital signs.
- Skills in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Strong communication and emotional support abilities.
