About the Role

Berry Global, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Product Management Director to drive the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies for our industrial film product lines. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with segment/functional leaders, sales personnel, R&D, and manufacturing to assist in driving overall product line profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Work cross-functionally to update, communicate, and implement the strategic vision for the business, identifying internal and external business needs along with growth opportunities.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to drive innovation and growth, gathering competitive intelligence to set product requirements and differentiated value propositions.
  • Product Planning: Develop and execute 1-year and 3-year product development roadmaps for product line effectiveness, growth, and profitability, defining and developing next-generation products.
  • Product Line Profitability: Manage new product and customer pricing and profit, collaborating with Finance, Operations, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Sales, monitoring market pricing and providing input on the competitive landscape.
  • Support of Existing Business: Collaborate with Sales leadership for top target growth, develop clear product positioning and communication strategies, and lead cross-functional teams to bring solutions to resolve quality initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Competencies Required: Ability to extract item-level sales data, organize, analyze, and draw conclusions, ability to perform category analysis and category management, understanding of profit & loss statements, and ability to drive new product development and lead commercialization.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MBA preferred, 7+ years of product management experience in manufacturing or comparable combined experience in commercial and finance functions.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of business functions, high proficiency level with MS Office applications, excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
