Job Title: SUE Technician II

Atlas is seeking a highly skilled SUE Technician II to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for locating underground utilities using various methods, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), induction, and direct connection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform utility surveys using designating equipment
  • Prepare complete and accurate utility sketches for office use
  • Conduct field investigations to identify all utilities located within the survey area
  • Work efficiently and accurately as part of a field crew
  • Interface with office staff to convey information and assist with quality control
  • Document all locating procedures and results
  • Meet specified schedules and budgets
  • Ability to work 40-50 hours per week and travel if necessary

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ambitious and willing to learn
  • 4 years SUE experience minimum

Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel week to week or occasionally for longer durations approximately 50%
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to positively communicate with peers and clients
  • Ability to work overtime and travel
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, in outdoor environments
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour work day
