About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SUE Technician I to join our team at Atlas Technical Consultants. As a SUE Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our utility locating projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform utility surveys using designated equipment to locate underground utilities.
  • Prepare complete and accurate utility sketches of the surveyed area for office use.
  • Conduct field investigations to identify all utilities located within the survey area.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a field crew to efficiently and accurately complete projects.
  • Interface with office staff to clearly convey information and assist with quality control.
  • Document all locating procedures and results in a detailed and accurate manner.
  • Meet specified schedules and budgets for projects.
  • Ability to work 40-50 hours per week and travel as necessary.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs with the help of a coworker.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Ambitious and willing to learn.
Technical Requirements
  • Ability to travel week to week or occasionally for longer durations (approximately 50%).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to positively communicate with peers and clients.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour workday.
