Job Overview:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team in Augusta, Georgia.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced educator with a strong background in special education and a passion for working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students in a P-12 setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs
  • Consult with families and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide one-on-one services to students as needed
  • Facilitate IEP processes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education with a DHH endorsement
  • Successful student teaching experience in areas of exceptionality
  • Basic knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Previous schools experience preferred

Benefits:

This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, starting October 2nd, 2024. The estimated salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
