Fermilab is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to a group of children.
Key Responsibilities- Child Development and Care: Establish and implement programs and activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual development of children in the group.
- Assessment and Intervention: Assess each child's development and identify potential problems, devising positive approaches to overcome these challenges.
- Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
- Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, co-teachers, and other stakeholders, participating in parent conferences as needed.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure the group of children is exposed to emergency and evacuation procedures through regular drills and games.
- Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with 12 complete semester hours in early childhood education and/or child development, and 2+ years of experience teaching in an early care/education classroom.
- Applicable Knowledge and Skills: Training and/or certification in child abuse and neglect, safe sleep, first aid, bloodborne pathogens, and CPR.
