Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at MNCP Staffing. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining building management systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Design and Implementation: Develop sequences of operation and programming to ensure optimal and reliable system operation.
  • Installation and Quality Assurance: Install control applications and perform quality assurance for our clients' building management systems.
  • Database Management: Maintain databases, devices, graphics, trends, and support infrastructure as needed for BMS.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee and execute assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Technical Training: Develop and conduct technical training programs for our clients and internal staff.
  • Device Installation: Assist in the installation of devices related to building operation and controls.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and maintain As-Built wiring diagrams and procedures for our clients' BMS systems.
  • System Improvement: Work with our maintenance team to improve system functionality and operational understanding.
  • Training and Development: Attend training, seminars, and factory acceptance testing to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer support, including after-hours support, to our clients.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Special Projects: Develop and lead special projects, providing solutions for new obstacles found within the data center.
  • Energy Management: Work with our Energy Management Systems team to develop and integrate power and controls data.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Technical Knowledge: Have a good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems employed in a data center environment, including transformers, air handling units, cooling towers, pumping, and cooling systems.
  • HVAC Experience: Have a strong background in HVAC Control Systems and Mechanical operation.
  • Safety Awareness: Have a good understanding of safety requirements required while operating a multi-megawatt facility.
  • Building Automation: Have a strong understanding of Building Automation Systems, including programming and graphic functions, control logic, and alarming capabilities.
  • Writing and Presentation Skills: Possess excellent writing, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Blueprint Reading: Be well-versed in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Business Applications: Have experience and ability in common business applications, including Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Education and Experience
  • Minimum Requirements: Minimum 4 years of experience installing and maintaining building management architectures for HVAC and/or Power, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
