Key Responsibilities
  • Recover and log refrigerant according to EPA certification requirements.
  • Maintain a Universal Certification and ensure compliance with hot works permit requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and R equipment according to manufacturer or health department requirements.
  • Ensure adequate stock of HVAC and R parts for necessary repairs.
  • Log equipment data, repairs, and refrigerant usage.
  • Ensure tools and instruments are in good working order.
  • Follow OSHA requirements for safety when working alone, with others, and around guests.
  • Use proper safety equipment when working with HVAC and R equipment or tools.
  • Minimize loss of efficiency by taking all necessary parts and tools at once.
  • Return tools to their rightful place.
  • Maintain MSDS sheets for liquids, chemicals, or powder products used in the HVAC department.
  • Follow the Tuscany Suites & Casino employee handbook in its entirety.
  • Be prepared to perform other job duties assigned by management.
  • Write purchase orders for every part or supply needed after approval from the Assistant Director of Engineering.
  • Follow the daily or weekly checklist in its entirety.
  • Be flexible with scheduled shifts to accommodate projects or repairs that do not affect hotel or casino operations.
  • Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Carry 50 lbs.
Requirements

We require a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC refrigeration and kitchen equipment. A universal EPA card is also required. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work on any given shifts. You must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels. Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. Ability to work for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel. Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Work indoors and outdoors, exposed to various environmental factors.
