Job Summary:

As an Environmental Services Technician at CARTI, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff. This position involves performing a variety of duties to ensure the highest quality of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff
• Respond to calls for housekeeping issues and maintain a clean and organized environment
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism in all interactions
• Clean and maintain light fixtures, ceiling and vents, walls, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets, restroom fixtures, nurses stations, patient service areas, business offices, front lobby areas, and waiting room areas
• Dispose of trash according to prescribed guidelines and replenish paper and plastic products
• Move furniture, supplies and equipment and realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
• Operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners and maintain equipment and wear protective clothing as required
• May train workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the premises and communicate daily with applicable CARTI staff on cleaning and scheduling
• Complete Daily Task Sheets and respond to guest queries and requests
• Some travel to clinics for general cleaning as requested by management

Requirements:

• Must have a reliable source of transportation
• Current valid Arkansas Driver's License required for Little Rock and Pine Bluff locations
• High school diploma or G.E.D., preferred
• Minimum of one year housekeeping experience preferred; preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. This position also may require frequent pushing and pulling of heavy objects and the ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. Colleagues are offered appropriate vaccinations and safety training. This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
