Cancer Clinical Research Coordinator Associate Job Description

Stanford University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cancer Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical translational research studies aimed at bringing advances in cancer genomics from the laboratory to patients in the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate studies from start-up through close-out, ensuring compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Determine eligibility of and gather consent from study participants according to protocol, and assist in developing recruitment strategies.
  • Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects, and ensure accurate and complete case report forms.
  • Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing, and assemble study kits for study visits.
  • Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets, and resolve billing issues in collaboration with finance and/or management staff.
  • Interact with the principal investigator regularly, ensuring patient safety and adherence to proper study conduct.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree and two years related work experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional evening and weekend hours.
