As a Hospitalist Physician at Fairfax Behavioral Health, you will have the chance to provide top-quality patient care through comprehensive mental health and co-occurring addiction treatment services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care to adolescents and adults, addressing both mental health and medical issues.
**Kirkland Campus:**
We operate a 157-bed standalone psychiatric hospital offering a full continuum of care. This state-of-the-art facility provides a supportive environment for patients to recover from various mental health conditions.
**Everett and Monroe Campuses:**
We also have two additional locations: Everett Campus with a 30-bed adult psychiatric facility, and Monroe Campus with a 34-bed facility located at Evergreen Health. These sites offer a range of treatment programs, including acute inpatient, PHP, IOP, and specialized programs for Active Duty, Veterans, and First Responders, as well as Women's-focused programs.

**Job Details:**
We are seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to manage an average of 15 patients per day, with flexible scheduling options (Monday-Friday, day shifts) and occasional weekend rounding and evening call coverage by phone only. As a member of our treatment team, you will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both mental health and medical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and patient discharges
• Participate in treatment team meetings to contribute insights into the patient's medical condition(s), discuss treatment options, and ensure that the overall care plan is comprehensive and cohesive
• Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay, alongside Psychiatrists, other mental health providers, and support staff
• Provide medical education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications that may impact overall health
• Provide medical consults as needed in the General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.
**Benefits and Compensation:**
We offer a competitive salary range of $270,000-$310,000 annually, plus a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, company-matched 401K, ST/LT disability, and more. Malpractice insurance is covered, and you will receive 25 days Paid Time Off annually, as well as 5 CME days + reimbursable expenses. This is a full-time, employed W-2 position.
**Required Education, Experience, Licensure, & Certifications:**
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school, and be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM). A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Washington is also required. Experience or interest in behavioral health and psychiatry is a plus.
