We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Asset Management Specialist to join our team at the City of Billings. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS-based asset management systems that support and optimize the data collection and analysis of the City's infrastructure and equipment assets.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, expand, and oversee a GIS-based asset management program.
- Meet with department representatives to understand their asset management needs and provide information on the features and benefits of using a GIS-based asset management system.
- Work with GIS-based asset management software to leverage asset management data for developing analytical reports, dashboards, maps, and spreadsheets.
- Support asset management inventory system.
- Perform statistical and other analyses on asset condition, performance, and risk data using asset management software.
- Coordinate with outside consultants related to asset management.
- Manage procurement and professional or service contracts as necessary to advance the asset management program.
- Serve as technical expert for all in-office and mobile asset management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience in asset management, IT, or GIS.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A valid Montana driver's license or ability to obtain within thirty days of employment.
- Ability to pass a State and Federal criminal history background check.
- Experience with City Works, Crystal Reports, SQL, GIS Information Systems, ESRI ArcGIS products, and local government infrastructure.
