About the Job:

The Army National Guard is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill the role of Paralegal Specialist. As a Paralegal Specialist, you will provide legal and administrative support in areas such as family law, international law, contract law, defense legal services, and judicial legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal documents in courts-martial and other military justice matters
• Provide assistance in legal affairs, such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees
• Maintain law/administrative library
• Monitor and review actions for accuracy

What You'll Learn:

As a Paralegal Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills in areas such as interviewing witnesses, researching court decisions and Army regulations, processing legal claims and appeals, and preparing records of hearings, investigations, courts-martial, and courts of inquiry.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate, be between the ages of 17 and 35, pass a physical exam, meet legal and moral standards, and meet citizenship requirements.

Training and Development:

As a Paralegal Specialist, you will receive 10 weeks of Basic Training and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction.
