CapLeo Global is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Worker to join our team. As an Environmental Worker, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all patient, office, and ancillary areas of the facility in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Ensure all carts and equipment are clean, orderly, and safe, and are not left unattended.
- Keep all Environmental Services closets clean and organized.
- Restock paper and soap supplies in all areas of the facility.
- Clean and disinfect all precaution rooms in accordance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Pick up trash and place it in central locations for bulk pick-up.
- Strip and refinish floors, shampoo carpets and upholstery, wash walls and windows, and transport furniture and equipment as assigned.
- Assist in snow removal emergencies as assigned.
- Answer Environmental Services pages in a timely manner.
- Attend regularly scheduled in-service training programs.
- Report any maintenance problems or damages to the supervisor.
- Maintain a helpful and productive attitude throughout the workday.
- Pick up trash and soiled linen in assigned areas.
- Remove needle and glove boxes, chemo buckets, and soiled equipment from patient rooms and take them to the soiled utility room.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and write at a high school level.
- Ability to lift and walk with a weight of up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene.
- Ability to maintain a courteous and service-oriented attitude throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients.
