Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Perform light administrative tasks, including managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel, as well as resolving inquiries related to orders and quotes.

Utilize hand tools and assist in product modifications such as glazing, adjusting section widths, and insulation, along with operating fork trucks.

Address customer inquiries regarding order tracking, expedited orders, and product availability.

Execute order entry for sales invoicing and requests for products from supply facilities.

Inform customers about potential backorders, credit concerns, order status, and any other relevant order information.

Serve as a communication link between the sales center and plant departments, gathering necessary information and responding effectively.

Complete all required documentation for the daily operations of the sales center.

Fulfill delivery responsibilities as needed, including maintaining a valid driver's license.

Assist in loading and unloading vendor and customer vehicles.

Oversee the completion of daily customer LTL shipments, including those via UPS.

Support the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with inventory management tasks, including but not limited to cycle counts, daily inventory level reviews, scrap processing, and loss prevention.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the door industry.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, while interacting with various levels of staff and customers.

Proficient in using PCs and related software, including MS Word, Excel, Access, and Lotus Notes.

Basic mathematical skills are essential.

A willingness to learn about products and processes is required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods in a non-climate-controlled setting.

Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
