Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform routine inspections of the hotel's MEP systems, identifying and addressing any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate in HVAC/refrigeration or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance, with a focus on MEP systems.
  • Valid driver's license and universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Experience with engineering computer programs and systems, including preventative maintenance and energy management.
  • Knowledge of local and national codes and regulations related to MEP systems.
