Job Overview

Cove Electric Inc is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Estimator/Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our company by assisting the Senior Estimator with analyzing project details, collaborating with management, and preparing accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify project requirements by reviewing plans, specifications, and relevant documents.
  • Submit bid proposals in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Evaluate bid documents for potential issues.
  • Prepare and develop RFI's, including research with project Foreman and contract documents.
  • Perform job walks to assess project feasibility and observe field conditions.
  • Request quotes from vendors and review for accuracy.
  • Attend estimating meetings and discuss bid status, potential problems, and project contracts.
  • Review and negotiate project contracts and changes with subcontractors, owners, clients, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and value setups.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to execute major project purchases, including managing product data submittals, shop drawings, and material releases.
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings, including Project Kick Off Meetings, Project Close Out Meetings, and Job Site Walk Throughs.
  • Assess project performance, progress, and quality by visiting sites regularly.
  • Manage all billing for assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, engineering firms, and trade partners.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure proper administration of payroll, material/subcontractor payments, and owner progress and final payments.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience as an Estimator in the Electrical Construction Industry.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Project Management in the electrical construction industry or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively follow directions and coordinate, monitor, and track project duties.
  • Knowledge of pertinent National Electrical codes, electrical systems, and regulations, with the ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Experience using McCormick and Accubid software platforms.
  • Superb time management and organizational skills.
