Requirements
- Valid Food Handler's Certification is required prior to receiving a job offer.
- Willingness to obtain ServSafe Manager certification within 30 days of employment.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar capacity within a high-volume dining establishment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
In cases where applicants do not meet the stated qualifications, those with lesser education and experience may still be considered, provided they submit a formal training plan within 30 days that can be completed in a reasonable timeframe agreed upon by both the supervisor and the applicant. Failure to complete the agreed-upon training will result in termination.
