Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for preparing and packaging products through various manual tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

BONE FILL DEPARTMENT

Fillers:

  • Remove products from boxes and place them on trays.
  • Utilize a filling nozzle to add food filling and transfer trays onto the conveyor belt for processing.

Cleaners:

  • Retrieve products from the conveyor belt and clean each item.
  • Use a spatula to remove any hardened filling as necessary.

Packers:

  • Assemble boxes and prepare pallets for shipment.
  • Sort and clean products as required.
  • Transfer products to the shrink-wrapping area and ensure quality checks are performed.
  • Label boxes with date stamps and maintain accurate counts of finished products.
  • Conduct general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.

PACKAGING & VARIETY ROOM DEPARTMENT

  • Assemble boxes and prepare pallets.
  • Sort and clean products as needed.
  • Manually load products into machines for wrapping.
  • Monitor the conveyor speed and ensure proper sealing of bags.
  • Perform quality checks on shrink-wrapped products.
  • Label boxes and maintain accurate counts of finished items.
  • Conduct general housekeeping duties to keep the workspace tidy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • No prior experience or training is necessary.
  • Ability to read and recognize basic words and numbers.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and handle standardized tasks.

Physical Demands:

Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this job, which may include:

  • Regularly standing, reaching, and communicating.
  • Occasionally lifting and moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision.

Work Environment:

The work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts, wet conditions, and varying temperatures. Noise levels are typically loud.
