Chief Medical Officer for Global Cruise Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Officer to join our team at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. As a key member of our medical department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our guests and crew members.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical services to all guests and crew members onboard our vessels, as well as advising the Master and Staff Captain on all matters related to medical center services, guest and crew member health matters, and hygienic conditions onboard the vessel.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine, general practice, or internal medicine, with a minimum of three years of post-graduate experience. They will also hold relevant certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (APLS), and Trauma Life Support (TLS).
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical services to all guests and crew members onboard our vessels
- Advise the Master and Staff Captain on all matters related to medical center services, guest and crew member health matters, and hygienic conditions onboard the vessel
- Serve as advisor to the Master and Staff Captain on all matters related to Medical Center services, Guest and Crewmember health matters and hygienic conditions onboard the vessel
- Holds a Basic Safety Course Certificate and appropriate licenses and certificates as required by regulations
- Supervises and provides competent medical care to both Guests and Crewmembers as required, keeping the Master and Staff Captain advised of all matters of consequence
- Medical Degree from a recognized College or University
- Active Medical License valid for the duration of the contract
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year of application and valid for the duration of the contract
- Certification in Advanced Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (APLS) within one year of application and valid for the duration of the contract
- Certification in Trauma Life Support (TLS) within one year of application and valid for the duration of the contract
- Three years' experience diagnosing and treating a broad range of medical conditions, including experience performing minor surgery such as suturing, removal of benign skin lesions, removal of foreign objects, removal of ingrown toenails, identification of and immobilizing of simple fractures
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
