**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Kansas Crossing Casino LC. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our guests, team members, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend daily briefings and meetings, being on time and participating in a positive manner.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Security Department through following prescribed policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all non-routine incidents, taking appropriate actions and making the proper notifications.
  • Perform currency transports in accordance with casino procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with other security personnel.
  • Ensure quick, fair, and consistent results to customer complaints.
  • Safeguard property assets and maintain confidentiality.
  • May be responsible for First Aid situations, administering CPR as needed.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations.
  • Ensure the integrity of gambling, banking, count room, and cash handling procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department and/or company management.
Working Conditions
  • Must have the ability to regularly walk and work on feet to complete assigned shifts.
  • Must be able to talk and hear.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to interpret a variety of technical and mathematical formulas.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of team members and outside contacts.
  • Must be able to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership and fairness in dealing with guests and team members.
  • Must be able to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in staff.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekend hours, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Job Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Formal security or law enforcement training, schooling, or certification required.
  • Related on-the-job experience may be considered in lieu of formal training.
  • Previous security, military, or civilian police officer training and/or experience required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests, and the general public.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
Compliance Responsibilities
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
  • Obtain required licenses.
  • Perform duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations and Systems of Internal Controls.
  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
