Multicraft Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman Level One

We are seeking a highly skilled Multicraft Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman Level One to join our team at Pixelle Specialty Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair duties on various industrial equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, pumps, bearing replacements, alignment procedures, rigging, and pipefitting.
- Adhere to safety standards and promote a safe working environment by attending training sessions, safety committee meetings, and addressing safety concerns.
- Uphold safety standards by consistently following safe practices, wearing protective equipment, and working with hazardous chemical lines in accordance with mill safety, housekeeping, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Attend level 1 training and meet required benchmarks.
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance work according to precision maintenance standards.
- Work independently on routine assignments, following drawings, sketches, oral or written instructions, established procedures, and accepted practices.
- Plan own work details on routine assignments, following established procedure, safety standards, and mill guidelines.
- Provide required documentation, time confirmations, and feedback when the job has been completed.
- Assist level 1-3 maintenance technicians on new installations or repairs, assist with on-the-job training of apprentices, and assist other crafts as needed.
- Serve as a member of the Pixelle Industrial Fire Team to mitigate risk and escalation of fires within the facility.
- Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in the related field, along with 1 year related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience equal to 4 years.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
