Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in electrical engineering, applied physics, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in proposal development and responding to funding requests
  • Over 10 years of experience managing engineering programs in the optical communications or photonics field
  • Proven expertise in product design for both commercial and defense sectors
  • Hands-on experience in optical design across various applications, including microscopy, LiDAR, and optical networking
  • Demonstrated ability to lead product design timelines and conduct technical evaluations
  • History of effectively presenting technical product information to external clients
  • Technical proficiency in hardware design for chip-scale applications
  • Strong skills in generating technical documentation for product development
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
