Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at ACTS-Aviation Security Inc. in Miami, FL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight to security operations and manage plans, organize, and direct security activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and airport staff, adhering to and promoting ACTS' commitment to quality of service, compliance with customer specifications, and government agency regulations.
  • Represent the Site Manager during after-hours activities and be accountable for operational and compliance performance of all employees during their shift.
  • Define staffing schedules, manage labor hours, and work with the scheduler to ensure the schedule is fully staffed and manage overtime targets.
  • Implement the ACTS safety program and oversee the continual development of security staff, including supervisors and guards.
  • Submit shift reports to the Site Director, enforce disciplinary actions, and provide coaching, development, and performance reviews to subordinate supervisors and guards.
  • Ensure and maintain all security-related records as indicated by the Customer, TSA, and other Governmental entities.
  • Be the first point of contact during a shift in addressing compliance issues raised by customers or TSA, preparing incident reports, and reporting to the site director.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Management, Security Management, or a closely related field.
  • Five (5) years of aviation/security management or similar experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the security or similar field.
  • Experience managing in a union environment.
  • Preferred, but not required: Federal security experience, i.e., TSA.
  • Experience in the airline/airport industry.
  • Security experience, i.e., law enforcement, military police, corporate security, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent leadership and presentation skills.
  • Strong PC computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with the Internet.
  • Strong customer management and communication skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally with disparate groups.
  • Employee must have a confirmed 10-year background check.
  • The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Certified Employee (ACE) designation for Security is preferred.
