KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, a typical day will include:
Independently
- Developing technical solutions for managing software, hardware, configurations, and architecture, providing insights into moderately complex systems issues.
- Offering troubleshooting support for highly complex hardware and software challenges.
- Training end users on the effective use of hardware and software, potentially addressing large groups.
- Executing advanced software installations and upgrades for operating systems and layered software packages.
- Utilizing advanced knowledge to monitor and optimize system performance.
- Guiding less experienced personnel on data integrity and the implementation of standard software and hardware solutions.
- Leading complex data/media recovery operations according to established backup schedules.
- Conducting comprehensive hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.
- Being recognized as a subject matter expert in the field, typically through advanced education and extensive work experience.
- Evaluating existing systems and planning long-term strategies for improvement.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of junior professionals.
- Possibly serving as a team or task leader (not in a managerial capacity).
Education/Experience Requirement:
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience
