Job OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Technician to join our team at Ponder Environmental Services, Inc. in Benicia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the cleanup of hazardous waste sites, including troubleshooting, repair, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift and other types of equipment to transport and handle hazardous materials.
  • Use pumping systems to transfer and handle chemicals.
  • Work in confined spaces to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform chemical transfer and handling tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
  • Familiarization and understanding of use and application of various types of respiratory protection and chemical hazards.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean DMV record.
  • Experience performing general laborer duties related to the clean-up of hazardous waste sites.
  • Utilizing all types of personal protective equipment.
  • Working knowledge of commonly used field equipment and gear.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
