Water/Wastewater/Stormwater Conveyance Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Lead to join our Water Business Line in Conveyance. As a key member of our team, you will lead our growing Pipeline Design Practice in the Northeast US, with a home base in New England.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers and designers in the design and engineering of large diameter pipeline projects from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Evaluate and improve the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems for conveyance projects.
- Prepare engineering reports and technical studies to support project delivery.
- Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in pipeline design and engineering.
- BA/BS in civil, mechanical, or related engineering degree, and 6+ years of related experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with design, analysis, installation, inspection, leak detection and management of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas.
- Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 18-inches in diameter and larger.
- 10+ years of extensive project experience in municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater large diameter pipeline design, analysis, installation, inspection, leak detection, and management in design within dense urban settings.
- Master's degree in civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline design codes, standards, and regulations.
- Pipeline condition assessment and rehabilitation experience.
- Understanding of construction methods, such as open-cut and trenchless (micro tunneling, jack and bore, etc.) for sewer and water infrastructure.
- Licensed PE in the state of MA, CT, or RI, or ability to obtain.
- Strong communication skills in coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public to accomplish assigned objectives.
- Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated understanding of various methods and technologies to perform assessment and design of large diameter pipeline systems.
- Proven excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.
