Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Engineer-in-Training to join our team at KCI Technologies, Inc. As a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including stormwater modeling, drainage and conveyance infrastructure design, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
About the Role:The ideal candidate will have experience with stormwater modeling and design/implementation of drainage and conveyance infrastructure. You will work closely with our team to complete flood studies/no-rise analyses, bridge hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater master planning, municipal and DOT drainage/culvert analysis and design, and 2D hydraulic analyses.
Responsibilities:- Complete hydrologic and hydraulic computations, reports, and modeling (drainage improvement, watershed evaluation, bridge and culvert replacements, floodplain modeling)
- Design and prepare construction drawings for various water resources projects
- Assist in the development of multiple projects and deliverables, including plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, within the schedule and budget
- Perform work which involves conventional types of plans, background data, field investigations, surveys, and field equipment
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MicroStation, Geopak Drainage, and HEC-RAS (preferred)
- Have good written and verbal communication skills and a base understanding of water resources and civil engineering principles
- Proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with stormwater modeling and design/implementation of drainage and conveyance infrastructure
