Role Overview:

This entails collaboration not only with our technical design and production teams but also fostering productive relationships with external vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
The Designer will manage the seasonal design development process from concept to delivery, creating and executing original, trend-relevant design concepts that fulfill market demands and drive sales while ensuring timely execution at each stage of the process.
The Designer must be adept at executing brand-specific products.
Strategic & Innovative Tasks:
- Research and identify trend directions; conduct competitive analysis; curate and review fabrics, design concepts, presentation boards for meetings, mock-ups, color-ups, and inspirational imagery.
- Execute the development of initial seasonal design categories within the context of a broader assortment and cost structure.
Operational & Result-Oriented Duties:
- Design in accordance with style plans, sales needs, and emerging trends; ensure the timely execution of the product development calendar.
- Create Illustrator sketches; review specification sheets and line sheets; ensure the accuracy of product development logs, line sheets, boards, and design archives; maintain designs in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system or shared drives.
- Select and review raw materials and trims; maintain a fabric/trim library.
- Approve lab dips with Senior Designer(s) and ensure adherence to color standards and licensor directives, as applicable; review prints and graphics as necessary and suggest revisions; manage the fit process.
Customer & Relationship Management:
- Coordinate follow-ups with internal and external customers and partners, including technical design, production, and vendors; manage interoffice communication.
- Build collaborative relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Dynamics:
- Positively contribute to team dynamics and manage upwards when necessary.
- Attract, develop, and retain talent.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills; team-oriented.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; highly detail-oriented, meticulous, and creative.
- Strong creativity, technical capability, and merchandising sensibility; ability to sketch.
- Experience with cold weather apparel is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design.
- 4-5 years of experience in apparel design.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD, and Mac systems.

Salary Range:
$75,000-$80,000
At Centric Brands, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset, and we strive to offer competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent.
The stated base salary range reflects our good faith estimate of what candidates can expect, and we tailor our offers within this range based on various factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other relevant factors during the selection process.
Base salary is part of a total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, annual bonuses, and other Centric Brands-sponsored benefit programs.
