Job Summary

The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Residential Services. This position is responsible for overseeing the administration and supervision of residential programs and services, as well as providing coaching and guidance to program staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and consultation for the administration and supervision of residential programs and services, ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Recruit, select, orient, train, and supervise program directors, campus life directors, and clinical directors, appraising performance and addressing complaints and problems.
  • Develop and implement risk management training programs for all new employees, ensuring compliance with FSYR and contractual requirements.
  • Assist the Vice President Program in ensuring that all licensing, accreditation, contracts, rate agreements, Medicaid applications, and other standards for programs and services are met.
  • Facilitate relationships between programs and services, and with the main office, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement new programs and services, or make major changes or modifications to existing programs, in conjunction with the Vice President Program and program staff.
  • Maintain relationships with District/Regional DCF, DJJ, Medicaid, and other agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Improvement Director in developing policies, procedures, directives, manuals, and training programs.
  • Provide oversight and coaching towards budget, expenditures, and revenue-generating activities, ensuring fiscal accountability and resource maximization.
  • Ensure that responsible employees are monitoring all required clinical and non-clinical documentation and case records, ensuring timely and up-to-date completion.
  • Represent the agency in a variety of settings, including meetings with other human service agencies, law enforcement agencies, donors, state or national associations, businesses, and other public entities.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience in a social service setting, with at least five years in an administrative or supervisory capacity, is required.
  • Experience in administering multi-service, multi-site agencies with a residential component will be given preference.
