About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team as a Health Psychology Specialist. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our clinicians to provide psychotherapy for patients with a wide range of medical conditions and health-related issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions to patients with medical conditions such as cancer, chronic pain, diabetes, and cardiac problems.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to address the physical, psychological, and social factors that impact health management.
  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in health psychology.

Onboarding Process

We offer a full-time base salary guarantee (benefits-eligible) transitional plan, typically four months, to allow new providers time to build their caseload. This plan includes:

  • A reduced minimum caseload with weekly supervision
  • Assigned reading and didactic sessions to discuss the readings and receive additional education
  • Increased conceptualization in treatment plans reviewed by your supervisor
  • Attendance of open supervision and discussion of other SLBMI programs that may be part of your training time

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master's or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g., Professional Counselor, Ph.D.)
  • Be fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently
  • Be credentialed-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri
