About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Psychology Specialist to join our team at Foundations for Living. As a Health Psychology Specialist, you will play a critical role in addressing the complex interactions between physical, psychological, and social factors in health management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychotherapy for the treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions and health-related issues, including cancer, chronic pain, diabetes, cardiac problems, and movement disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, incorporating evidence-based practices and tailoring to individual competencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in health psychology, incorporating new knowledge into clinical practice and contributing to the development of innovative treatment approaches.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge, including didactic sessions, case consultations, and peer review.

Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g., Professional Counselor, Ph.D.).
  • Full licensure by the State of Missouri to practice independently.
  • Credentialing-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri.
